Clinton Presses Cairo on Peace Pact with Israel
The Obama administration is worried about Egypt.
Having helped to overthrow Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, the administration now fears that it may have assisted in the creation of another Iran (just as Carter administration aided the Islamist takeover of that country, which was a friend of Israel and a staunch ally of the United States until the ouster of its modernizing monarch, Shah Mohammed Reza Pahlavi).
