Former Pentagon Official Tells Israel Attacking Iran Would Inevitably Draw in US; Ex-IDF Intelligence Head Responds
Former U.S. deputy assistant secretary for defense for the Middle East Colin Kahl told attendees at a conference in Israel Saturday that now is not the time to attack Iran over its nuclear program, and that any attack on the country would inevitably draw in the United States because Iran would retaliate against U.S. targets, using missiles and terrorist proxies. Former Israeli military intelligence chief Amos Yadlin responded by making the point that the worst possible course of action is one that would allow Iran to acquire atomic arms.
