Understanding PFLP-GC Praise for Islamist Iran

Ahmed Jibril, a veteran Palestinian terrorist chief long associated with secular leftwing and Arab nationalist ideologies, and Islamist Iran's maniac-in-chief, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, met in Tehran Sunday. Jibril called Iran the "strategic hope" of the Palestinian nation. Read more.

Jibril's group, the PFLP-GC, which is considered a terrorist organization by more than 30 nations, is essentially an arm of non-Arab Iran and its (still) secular (but steadily Islamizing) Arab ally, Syria. It split from the original, more Marxist PFLP many years ago and has consistently emphasized military action over politics.

Apologists for Iran's Shiite clerical fascist regime have made a practice of ignoring its striking ability to bridge a broad array of theological, ethnic, and ideological divides in the interest of wiping out the Jewish State and driving down, if not also destroying, the United States. Examples of the phenomenon include, in addition to Iran's sponsorship of Jibril's PFLP-GC and alliance with the Baathist (but Alawite--i.e. heretical Shiite offshoot) Assad regime, Tehran's ties to: Sunni Al Qaeda (before and after 9/11) and (Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood-spawned-and-linked) Palestinian Arab Hamas; Shiite Arab (Lebanese) Hezbollah; the pseudo-socialist ("Bolivarian Revolution") regime of Venezuelan strongman Hugo Chavez; the anti-religion Communist (Castroite) regime of Cuba; and, of course, the mullahocracy's partner in nuclear and missile crimes, the fanatically atheist, Communist (Kimist) regime of North Korea.
