French Troops Hailed as Liberators in Mali

But France Fights Alone, Abandoned by Allies

French troops are being greeted as liberators by the people of Mali. Read more.

Sadly, however, the rest of Europe appears to be abandoning France, turning its back on an ally as it battles the forces of Islamic clerical fascism. The cowardly European line is that France isn't clear in its objectives, moved too soon militarily before exhausting diplomatic alternatives, was wrong to act unilaterally, etc.

The U.S. position isn't clear. Liberal media outlets seem disinterested in the conflict--even in the face of terrorist atrocity in Algeria in which three Americans were killed.
