S. Korea Vows Immediate Reaction to Any Attack by North

Assurance of Armed Response Amid Rising Tensions 


South Korea says it has authorized its military commanders to immediately respond to any attack by North Korean forces. The announcement comes as the United States deploys stealth fighter jets to join  a joint military exercise with its ally while the North Korean regime warns the region is at the brink of nuclear war.

To paraphrase Henry Kissinger, the failure of the international community to stop North Korea, a small, impoverished nation with no natural resources, from developing nuclear weapons and long-range rockets in order to threaten its neighbors makes a mockery of the term international community.
