Russia's Syria Proposal Means Loss for Al Qaeda
The Western powers, Russia and China stand to win and Al Qaeda and other "rebels" in Syria stand to lose--big--if Russia's proposal for scrapping Syria's chemical weapons is accepted and implemented.
Foreign Confidential predicts Russia's president Vladimir Putin will be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize if the proposal results in a peaceful resolution of the crisis.
In the meantime, Obama should let Putin hold onto the Prize as a gesture of good will. It's the least Obama can do in light of the horrible mess he has made of the Middle East.
