Nishikori Tackles Classical Sumo Wrestling

Off the coast of Shimane Prefecture, a Sumo tournament is held every 20 years on the distant island of Okinoshima. Living with Tamiko Sakamoto (Ayumi Ito), Hideaki (Sho Aoyagi) decides to train to win the prestigious event while restoring the estranged relationship with his daughter Kotyo (Haduki Inoue) from his first marriage following the tragic and sudden death of his wife.

Filmed on the picturesque and isolated island, Kon-Shin tells the story of a place steeped in ancient tradition and the origin of modern day Sumo wrestling.
