Putin Accepts Abe's Invitation to Visit Japan


Russia's President Vladimir Putin will visit Japan to resolve a maritime territorial dispute that has prevented the two countries from signing a formal peace treaty following the Second World War.

Japan's Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, who  has made improving relations with Russia a priority of his government, is expected to attend the opening ceremonies of the Sochi Winter Olympic Games.
