Turkey's embattled Islamist regime, hailed as a "model" for "the Muslim world" by the Obama administration, is purging police in retaliation for a widespread corruption investigation that has reached regime friends and supporters.
The police purge follows a purge of the military, traditional guardian of Turkey's secular system.
